We are Green and Getting Greener...

Just because a company is in the green industry does not make it “green” by today’s terms. Today the term “low carbon foot print” is now the new catch phrase for preserving our planet. Empire Landscaping, Inc. has been making a conscious effort for many years to conserve energy and to conduct our business with an eye towards conservation and efficiency. Our efforts have now become second nature to us. We would like to share our efforts of the last few years:

  • Heat our buildings with scrap wood, tree trimmings, and recycled oil from a Central Boiler. We consume no natural gas during the heating season. (2005) office solar array
  • We save over 32% of our electric consumption (KWH) with a solar array and sell excess electricity back to the grid. (2008)
  • All buildings have set back thermostats with evening & weekend control settings. (2004)
